Professional surfer Kelly Slater was cast as Jimmy Slade on “Baywatch.” Not only did the part leave him little time to pursue his passion, he found the plots preposterous. He said in a GQ interview, “I’d be like, ‘What!? There’s an octopus that’s stealing surfboards and hiding them in a secret cove and I’m going to fight him in the next show!? Who writes this?'”
