Olympic Inspiration
The slow-motion beach runs that “Baywatch” was famous for were allegedly suggested by a production partner who’d filmed sprinters in slow-mo in the 1988 Summer Olympic Games. But Hasselhoff asserted the ploy was used to add free footage to shows that needed padding. Whatever the reason, the scenes were oddly mesmerizing.
