James Dean
Died at 24 (September 30, 1955)
This was taken the day he died. Dean was an avid racer and was killed in a crash. On this fateful day, while traveling on Route 66 in California, Dean swerved his fast-driving Porsche (“nicknamed Little Bastard”) to avoid an oncoming car.
Before the tragedy, Dean showed his car off to fellow actor Alec Guinness. Guinness had a bad feeling about the car and said: “If you get in that car, you will be found dead in it by this time next week.” This was seven days before Dean’s eerie death.
