Legendary musician, actor, and artist David Bowie had his longtime photographer Jimmy King shoot these as promotional material to accompany the release of his final album “Blackstar.” The photos were released just two days prior to Bowie’s death from cancer.
Bowie’s widow, Somali supermodel Iman, lost her mother just three months later.
