Marilyn Monroe
Died at 36 (August 5, 1962)

This photo, with jazz pianist Buddy Greco, was the last weekend the legendary actress was alive. Monroe was found dead in her Brentwood, Los Angeles home days later. Toward the end of her life, Marilyn’s insecurities and personal demons had turned her life into a living hell.
The woman best known for her curvy figure and “dumb blonde” characters once said “I knew I belonged to the public and to the world, not because I was talented or even beautiful, but because I had never belonged to anything or anyone else.”
