Annette Funicello – Beach Party
One of the original Disney kids made some people disappointed with an appearance in a beach party themed movie in 1963. Annette Funicello made her appearance beside another Disney kid Frankie Avalon in Beach Party. Funicello shed those Mouseketeer ears for a one-piece bikini which caused a stir 50 years ago.
Although she appeared in a one-piece bikini in Beach Party, this was considered to be over the edge. This was considered to be a bit overexposed back then, but in our time less is more when it comes to wearing a bikini. Beach Party is credited with being the first film to start the whole beach party genre of films.
