What Really Happened?
Andreas Gruber, his wife, daughter, and granddaughter were each lured into their family barn and killed. Gruber’s infant grandson and the new maid were found killed inside the house. The bodies were found after the Gruber family wasn’t heard from in days (it was a small town).
The murder weapon was not found and authorities found that the chimney and kitchen had been used since the family’s collective death. Police at first suspected robbery as the motive, but ruled out that possibility after large amounts of money were found in the home. To this day, the murder remains unsolved.
