Not only did “Baywatch” reportedly have over a billion fans around the world in 1993, some enthusiasts turned the craze into a profitable business. Hasselhoff once said the wife of the Shah of Iran once divulged to him that Iranians in Tehran sold tickets to the show at homes equipped with satellite dishes.
